In the hollow glass industry, the most significant innovation of the past years is the "cold sealing".This process has been created and patented by THIMON and is available in the whole range. Before being layed on the load, the hood had been previously sealed, allowing to get a cold time for the sealing.The hood presents itself, sealed up, on separators and is then handled only after a cooling time that has no influence on the production's rate.
With others standard machines, the sealing is made just before the hood application on the pallet. In this case, there are holes and tears risks.The patented THIMON device cancels totaly this kind of risk, which enables to obtain a perfect waterproof sealing.Moreover, contrary to the parachute principle, Thimon equipments allow to work in dust atmospheres, without storing particles in suspension, that generates film micro-perforations during the shrinking stage.
