Ongoing technological advances in the use of plastic films

wrappingThe growth of Thimon is attributable to the development of plastic films for overwrapping. Shrink and then stretch, these films appeared at the end of the 1960's. Nearly four decades of close co-operation with film manufacturers have provided Thimon with invaluable experience in mastering these two technologies.

With over 30 years of Research and development in these technologies, Thimon has registered a hundred or so patents covering all the processes. As a leading company,Thimon is expanding its market on the basis of an average of three major innovations per year!

Major innovations and patents :

1985 - SHRINK HOODING
To protect the product during shrinkage with a concertina.

1990 - STRETCH WRAPPING
To cover 5 sides using a single reel.

2000 - HOODING
The convertible shrink or stretch hooding machine.

2004 : TEST BENCH FOR WRAPPING FILM
One more advance in the service and support of our customers.		 oscar 2004 The innovation Oscar of the 2004 Emballage exhibition has been awarded to Thimon for its exclusive test bench for stretch film COVER-LAB.
