Stretch wrapping

The stretch wrapping process consists in spiral wrapping a load thanks to a film’s width from 250 to 1 000 mm (usually 500 mm).

This process is the ideal answer to costs and floor space constraints.It fits every kind of loads’ sizes and allows to get a packaging up to 5 sides with the Thimon solution, the WRA-PAL SWING.

There is two possible processes : by load rotation or by film’s reel rotation.

Applied TECHNOLOGIES :

Stretch wrapping is often realised with stretch film but can also be realised with shrink film to strenghten the load.

In the shrink technology, the film is layed and then heated, which allows to get a perfect shrinking that suits the load to ensure the best its protection and stability.

Reinforced Protection

The edge protection:

– The overlapping of the layers of film is obtained by folding the film width, an original Thimon system, thus allowing application of up to 5 film layers.
– This over-thickness increases the protection of the products and makes it easy to roll them.

The PE Foam protection:

– The PE foam plays the part of a shock absorber, with a view to protect more efficiently the very fragile products, particularly the body and the edges of the reel, against the risks of creasing, hence marking the product whilst being handled.
– The protection is completed by an axial, or radial overwrapping with film.

The paper protection:

– This process uses an expandible paper, which is quite suitable for overwrapping the body of the pallet and covers a sufficient area of the sides to keep the cardboard disc protection in place.
– It provides shock and penetration protection during handling.
– This operation is followed by a film wraping, so as to make the product wheatherproof.
